Former PTI Faisalabad Leader Arrested by FIA in Connection with May 9 Tragedy

(By Correspondent)

In a significant development, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has apprehended Malik Nazir Ahmad, a local elder leader and former moderator of PTI Faisalabad, upon his return to the country at Faisalabad International Airport. He was allegedly directly involved in the May 9 tragedy and had been on the run abroad since then.

The arrest came after PTI Chairman Imran Khan's detainment, during which Malik Nazir Ahmed reportedly sent inflammatory messages to PTI workers, instigating them to launch attacks on government properties.

Currently, the FIA has transferred Malik Nazir Ahmed to an undisclosed location for further investigation. It is reported that the FIA might also hand him over to the local police, as a case against him has been registered with the district police. The situation remains under close scrutiny as authorities continue to probe the matter.
